Judy from United States ; December 2012:
'5.0 rating5.0 stars: When we booked this apartment, we didn’t realize how perfect the location would be. It is right on the edge of the Barrio alto, around the corner from the Convent Carmo and on the Duque Stairway, and up the stairs from the Rossio train station. Perfect for getting out to Sintra for a day, and enjoying fado and good food at night.Grocery stores are a short walk away, and so are the downtown district, and #28 tram stop. Actually, everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. '

Appartement Très Agréable Et Calme. Idéal Pour
Jean Philippe from France ; October 2012:
'5.0 rating5.0 stars: Appartement très agréable et calme. Idéal pour visiter Lisbonne et sortir dans le Barrio Alto le soir. Une chambre de 3 lits est en mezzanine sans porte au-dessus du séjour ce qui peut engendrer des nuisances sonores si tout le monde ne se couche pas à la même heure. L’utilisation de Paypal n’est pas idéal pour effectuer la réservation sinon le personnel est très sympathique et professionnel. '

A Group Of Us Stayed At The Apartment Recently Whe
Alma from Canada ; September 2012:
'3.5 rating3.5 stars: A group of us stayed at the apartment recently when we were in town to run the Lisbon Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon. The location is great as it is close to the metro and to lots of restaurants and bars. The apartment itself it a nice size and 8 of us were pretty comfortable, although we weren’t in the apartment all at the same time very often. The only downside is that it is a 4 story walk-up with narrow and steep stairs. If you are hauling your luggage up or down the stairs, that is a serious consideration. The plus side, it is across the street from a great restaurant -Buenos aires. Great food and service. I would recommend the apartment, but know it will be difficult to get too much luggage up to the apartment. '

We Had A Wonderful Stay In Bairro Alto, The Apartm
Simone from United Kingdom ; August 2012:
'4.0 rating4.0 stars: We had a wonderful stay in Bairro alto, the apartment was in a really central location ideally placed near the shopping areas, bars and restaurants and good links to the beaches via the main line and trams. We also had the advantage of getting fit during the week, there are approx 240 steps from Rossio square and then a further 50 plus steps to the 4th floor of the apartment, with luggage was a challenge, but we were proud of ourselves making it to the top, not for the elderly or for folks with small children would be difficult. The apartment was clean and spacious and high enough to see right across the city really lovely views and worth the climb. We had everything we needed here. The staff at Travel to Lisbon were so helpful and lovely I would definitely book accommodation with this firm again I love Lisbon it has the advantages of city and beaches what a combination be back next year :) Would really recommend this trip to anyone with a sense of adventure. Lovely Apartment In A Great, Central Location, Spa
Tansy from United Kingdom ; May 2012:
'5.0 rating5.0 stars: Lovely apartment in a great, central location, spacious rooms, fantastic ambience, plenty of hot water and amazing views to the castle. The layout particularly suited our group as none of us wanted to share a bed, and one upper bedroom is a mezzanine which was fine for those sleeping in it. The street outside was totally buzzing in the evening, with restaurants and cherry brandy bars all around. Restaurant on the pavement at the top of the road ripped us off for wine (€18, and it was €3 in the shop) but otherwise our stay was perfect. Although there are 61 steps up to the apartment from the street, this offset all our eating and we all lost weight during our stay - good for girls! I would recommend the cheap supermarkets just down the hill (in the road parallel to Rossio square) where quite drinkable white is €0.75 for a litre carton, the bar crawl in Bairro alto which has to be seen to be believed, and the lovely tapas bar ’Gallasa’ next to Teatro de Trinidade where the two ladies who run it made us feel completely at home. Only complaint is that the coffee maker in the apartment was very small and needed refilling quite a lot! Lisbon is one of the loveliest, liveliest, friendlies, hilliest cities I have ever been to and I think we picked the perfect holiday let. '
